Consumer Rights - Reynolds Parry Jones

Consumer Rights

The sales of all goods and services in the UK are now covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This Act replaces the Sale of Goods Act, the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, and the Supply of Goods and Services Act. From 1 October 2015 all contracts for the sales of goods and services will be covered by the Act.

In brief the Act covers:

• Goods with a digital content
• Goods bought in a shop
• Goods ordered at home
• Services paid for in a shop
• Services ordered from home

Contact one of our specialist lawyers now if you are a consumer dissatisfied with a purchase you have made recently, or if you are a provider of goods or services dealing with a complaint from a consumer (you will need to act quickly as the Act defines strict time limits).
