Gillian is a consultant in the firm. She was educated at Southampton University from where she graduated with an LLB honours degree. She later studied for the Law Society professional exams at The College of Law in Guildford. She joined the firm as an articled clerk in 1970, qualifying as a solicitor in 1972.
Soon after qualification Gillian helped to establish the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Young Solicitors Group and served as its Secretary/Treasurer for a number of years. She became a partner of the firm in 1976, later becoming senior partner, a position from which she stepped down in March 2011. The firm is delighted to retain her as a full time consultant.
Throughout her career she has specialised in property and probate work and, in the former capacity, has acted on several occasions for Bucks & Chiltern University College, now Bucks New University (whilst also serving there as a governor for a period of 15 years).
She has been, and continues to be, active in the community, having worked as a volunteer for Wycombe General Hospital and Parry House (local hostel for young ex-offenders). She is the legal adviser to the High Wycombe Methodist Church circuit and to two local charities.
Any spare time she has is devoted to walking, music, theatre and cinema and spending time with her nephews, nieces, godchildren and friends.
