If you've been involved in an accident where someone else was to blame you could be entitled to compensation for your injuries and, if you had to take time off work, for loss of earnings too.

Can I make a claim?

You would be surprised at the number of different circumstances when a claim can be made. You may have been involved in a road accident, or had an accident at work. Or, you may have tripped or fallen in a public place which has not been properly maintained or repaired.

Sometimes a family member or dependent can claim if an accident results in death. Also, claims can be made for criminal assault.

Is it Worth Claiming?

Many people are surprised by the amount of compensation they receive for even minor injuries. For example, a whiplash injury following a car accident which causes the injured party to be off work for a short period and to suffer symptoms for only a few weeks could attract an award in the region of £1500. Any loss of earnings and other expenses could be claimed on top of this figure.

Those more seriously injured are able to claim much more.

What if I was to blame?

If you were entirely to blame for the accident you may not be able to make a claim.

However, it is still worth asking for our advice. If, for example, the accident happened because you had not been properly trained, making a claim may still be possible.

Remember, the first interview will not cost you anything.

Will I have to go to court?

Most cases are settled with insurance companies without going to court. If it is necessary to go to court we will give you our full support and we will represent you.

What will it cost to pursue a claim?

We will take all suitable cases on a No Win - No Fee basis. This means that if you win the case the majority of your costs will be paid by the other side and you will keep the majority of your compensation.

If you lose the case we would not charge a fee under our No Win - No Fee agreement with you.

Why instruct us?

We are experts in personal injury law, with many years experience of handling claims.

Over recent years there has been a trend for claims companies to advertise their services. Such firms do not process the work themselves but pass it to other solicitors who may be based anywhere in the country. We prefer to deal with local people, using our local knowledge and experience to your advantage.
