Intellectual property refers to those creative outputs of literature, art, industry, science and engineering that can be identified and protected under legal devices such as patents, trade marks, copyright, and design rights.
Patents are most often the appropriate route for Intellectual Property Protection for intellectual property from science and engineering, although copyright can also be important (for example, for the protection of computer software).
If you are in business, Intellectual Property is an issue which may affect you in one of two different ways.
 |
Are you manufacturing or producing goods or services where you need to protect your Intellectual Property rights from potential infringement by others? |
 |
Are you using anything in your business which may be the Intellectual Property of others and, if so, are you doing this legally? |
We can advise you both how to avoid disputes and if disputes arise.
