Gillian Humphreys

Gillian is a consultant in the firm. She was educated at Southampton University from where she graduated with an LLB honours degree. She later studied for the Law Society professional exams at The College of Law in Guildford. She joined the firm as an articled clerk in 1970, qualifying as a solicitor in 1972, and becoming a partner in 1976. She stepped down as senior partner on 31st March 2011, and the firm is delighted to retain her as a consultant.

Throughout her career she has specialised in property and probate work and, in the former capacity, has acted on several occasions for Bucks & Chiltern University College, now Bucks New University (whilst also serving there as a governor for a period of 15 years).

She has been, and continues to be, active in the community, having worked as a volunteer for Wycombe General Hospital and Parry House (local hostel for young ex-offenders). She is the legal adviser for a local Educational Charity and a trustee for the Ancient Order of Foresters Friendly Society.

Any spare time she has is devoted to walking, music, theatre and cinema and spending time with her nephews, nieces, godchildren and friends.
