Solicitor delivers Annual Employment law Update to local business leaders

Robert Hill, partner and employment law specialist with Wycombe law firm Reynolds Parry Jones, recently delivered his fifth annual employment law update to local employers, at the High Wycombe Cricket Club.

Over thirty owner managers of local firms were in attendance to hear a synopsis of developments in the law over the last twelve months in this fast moving and commercially important area of the law.

“Employment law is one of the most significant areas of the law for businesses to keep an eye on” explained Mr Hill. “There have been many major new statutes passed and new regulations issued over the recent past and case law is constantly being developed in consequence” he went on. “It is vital that employers are aware of the rules so as to remain within the law and to avoid expensive Employment Tribunal claims with potentially damaging consequences to their finances and their staff relations. We began this tradition of offering a free annual update to employers in 2003 and it continues to be a popular event.”

In addition to annual updates Robert Hill runs an Employment Club on behalf of his firm. This meets on a more frequent quarterly basis and provides a regular forum for local employers to remain up to date with changes in the law. Membership is open to any local business.
