The New Government – What does it mean for my Private Finances?

For those who wish to plan for their personal finances we, at this firm, have a substantial Private Client department dedicated to helping clients protect their financial futures.

A new government just elected, in a difficult economic situation, has announced many different initiatives, some of which may affect your existing plans for yourself and for your children and/or grandchildren.

To help individuals understand the effects of recently announced government plans we are planning to hold a FREE Seminar, to which you and your spouse/partner are cordially invited. Amongst the topics we shall be covering are:

• A review of the government’s ‘Emergency Budget’ due to be presented on 22 June
• The current situation regarding Inheritance Tax
• Planned changes to future retirement ages and pensions
• Minimising the IHT liability of couples
• Lasting Powers of Attorney (how effective are they in helping plan for future incapacity)
• Will Registration (now possible with a national Will Register)
• Equity Release Schemes (and other ways to unlock the capital in your home)

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of our experts, either in an open Question & Answer session at the end of the seminar, or afterwards in private.
